Law enforcement agents in the United Arab Emirates took part in a simultaneous operation with Australian Federal Police that led to the arrest of five members of an worldwide crime syndicate. Those arrested in Dubai include a 39-year-old Vaucluse man, a 43-year-old Dover Heights man, a 34-year-old Punchbowl man and two Australian men living in Dubai, aged 39 and 30 years old. (more...)

Just 24 percent of Americans approve of the leadership in the Republican-controlled Congress , according to the new CNN poll , down from 39 percent in January. Its failure to pass the health care overhaul bill largely contributed to its unpopularity. Half favor the law vs. 46% who oppose it. Interestingly, 58% of respondents to the poll said that the government should provide a national health insurance programme for all Americans , even if it required higher taxes to do so. (more...)

They say they received multiple complaints about the motorcyclists' antics, which included "driving in a risky manner" and "performing all sorts of stunts", according to OPP Sgt. Investigators have issued an appeal to anyone with dash cam videos or photographs of the motorcyclists to turn them over and also urged the motorcyclist to get a lawyer and contact police. (more...)

All three individuals ran from police. Two of the three people were arrested after a brief foot chase. The two men in their 20s were taken into custody for questioning in connection with the shooting. After the arrests, police found a suspicious vehicle that is believed to be connected to the investigation. He told The Sun: "People were flooding out of the station". I just got evacuated from the station.
