According to Egyptian local news outlet Ahram Online , the dead tourist was a USA citizen. A USA citizen was killed in the accident, while the nationalities of the injured were not revealed. Hot air balloon rides were temporarily suspended in Egypt in 2016 after a crash landing led to the injuries of 22 Chinese tourists.
