Police say an officer discharged a Taser, before the man was shot. The man suffered two gun shot wounds, one to his upper right leg and another to his chest, according to The Today Show . The injured man was hospitalised in a critical condition in Grafton and later transferred to Gold Coast University Hospital, where he died. No further details are now available however, police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. (more...)

After Trump signed the bill into law, the Russian envoy to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia , said Russia will not "bend or break" over United States sanctions and will not change its policy. "But it is important the European Commission now looks into countermeasures", she said adding that "the Americans cannot punish German companies because they operate economically in another country".
