The Irish student, understood to be aged 22, was given CPR before being rushed to Atlantic General Hospital and is described as being in very serious condition. Normally averaging 25 rescues a day, Ocean City beach patrol said that beginning they were at around almost 200 rescues a day. The incident happened at the restaurant at 1008 Woodland Street on Tuesday night. A witness told police one of the other men put a pistol into his waistband before leaving the restaurant. Police say he was uncooperative when detectives tried to interview him about the shooting. The US Air Force tested an intercontinental ballistic missile on Wednesday just days after North Korea conducted its own ICBM test, the Air Force Global Strike Command said in a news release. Minuteman missiles are regularly tested with launches from Vandenberg that send unarmed re-entry vehicles to a target area in the middle of the Pacific. (more...)

An Afghan interpreter was also injured in the attack, according to Operation Resolute Support. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement on social media. There are now 8,400 USA military personnel operating in Afghanistan as part of the US -led effort to beat back the Taliban insurgency that's roiled the country since the end of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation combat operations there in December 2014. He also called on China to do more. North Korea is now holding two Korean-American academics and a missionary, a Canadian pastor and three South Korean nationals who were doing missionary work. "This is not a regional threat any more". Of those surveyed who lived in states where marijuana use was legal, 63% said they were not bothered by their state legalizing marijuana. Meanwhile, only 14 percent of voters said marijuana should be completely illegal. Thirty-seven percent said it should be legal only for medical purposes. The bill, called the Marijuana Justice Act , would also give former felons the opportunity to have their marijuana-related crimes expunged from their records. (more...)

Earlier on Tuesday, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief commander Abu Dujana of Pakistan along with his accomplice were killed in an encounter with the security forces at Hakripora village in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwawa district.
