The initial student alert said the victim reportedly was offered a ride to her residence hall, and the driver took the victim to a secluded area and sexually assaulted her. An arrest has not been made in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call Oakland University police at 248-370-3331. Meanwhile, OU officials are reminding those on campus to report all suspicious activity to police and use the "Safe Walk Program" for safely traveling across campus. (more...)

El Capitan is one of the most popular hiking locations in the country, with the 3,000 vertical feet of granite rock attracting adventure travelers from around the world. Yosemite National Park remained open to visitors. At least 30 climbers were on El Capitan at the time of the slide, according to USA Today . A video of the shark clinging to Maccarty's stomach after he comes out of the water has been doing the rounds recently. "Poor little guy", the friend said.
