Prediction models put Jose anywhere from SC to Newfoundland, or even back out in the ocean. Of 20 runs of the GFS model ensemble forecast Monday morning, 25% resulted in an eventual landfall in the US, and another 25% in Canada. (more...)

The flooding in Jacksonville was expected, at least to a point. Cloudy with showers and isolated thunderstorms. Maximum sustained winds around now approximately 70 miles per hour, with gusts approaching hurricane strength. The county is also asking people to not clog the highway in Florida City, where Route 1 crosses from the mainland into the Keys. Trees were also downed, some onto vehicles parked outside of home. Hurricane Irma battered the Florida Keys early Sunday with winds up to 130 miles per hour.
