Kilauea volcano, which has 44 days erupts on Hawaii's Big island, was thrown from the bowels of the earth many green gemstones of olivine . Fissures 16 and 18 also continued to ooze lava. The National Weather Service reported heavy vog, or volcanic smog, blanketing the inner and southern parts of the island.
