In an interview with Sweden's Radiosportens , Zetterberg said he "will probably not play" through the end of his contract, which runs until 20-21. "The reason we wrote such a long contract was because of the payroll". Through 1,000 regular-season career games, the Swede has posted 326 goals and 578 assists for a grand total of 904 points while notching 57 goals and 63 assists for 120 points in 137 postseason games. The inning ended when shortstop Francisco Lindor ran down Mookie Betts' popup in center field with his back to home plate. There had been some rumblings around the National Football League about Kansas City Chiefs QB Alex Smith after they moved up rookie Patrick Mahomes from third-string to second-string quarterback. It is safe to say that Smith's job is safe and he will remain the starting quarterback for at least this season, barring any injuries. The resounding support from Reid comes after both Smith and rookie first-round pick Pat Mahomes impressed in their first two outings of the preseason. (more...)

Frontman (and Faith No More singer) Mike Patton was unable to perform due to an injury, apparently caused by a auto accident. Lombardo, looking bewildered, added: "We're really sorry".
