Essentially , the project by LNG Canada is to improve Canada's resources for liquefied natural gas by carving out a new route to Asia. Prices have been lower than that for the vast majority of the past four years, but Uhl suggested there would be a "supply gap" opening up around the time the project starts selling fuel that will raise prices. New photos taken on the surface of an asteroid show that it is rocky. The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency posted the latest photos on its website. The imagery - the first taken from rovers from an asteroid - shows a rocky landscape against the backdrop of space. An Air Force Reserve reconnaissance aircraft will be investigating Kirk later this morning to provide more detailed information on the location and intensity of the storm. A pocket of little to no shear will help Kirk gain strength as it moves to the west, but it's going to have a hard time overcoming the strong winds now settled over the Caribbean. (more...)

Kirk's top wind speeds had gone up by about 15 mph on Wednesday, from 45 mph in the morning to 60 mph in the afternoon, bringing Kirk closer to hurricane status, according to the National Hurricane Center . Finally, Post-Tropical Cyclone Leslie, in the central Atlantic, has a 70 percent chance of becoming organized again over the next five days. The asteroid has low gravity, so the rovers will have to hop on its surface as high as 15 meters and stay in the air for about 15 minutes to survey the asteroid and observe its features with sensors and cameras. A 300-metre-long spider web that has covered the beach in Aitoliko, Greece has been making rounds on the internet, having covered everything from vegetation to the surface of the water. Temperatures in the region have been high, that joined by adequate humidity levels and a large number of mosquitos. Molecular biologist Maria Chatzaki told Greek news websites Newsit that the spiders were not unsafe and that their expansive web will not cause any damage to vegetation. (more...)

Residential streets have turned into rivers and freeways have morphed into waterways. Flooding could begin early next week, officials said during a community meeting on Thursday. "I would say by Thursday we will have a good count". The flooding from Florence has also caused 21 hog "lagoons", which store manure from pig farms, to overflow in North Carolina, possibly contaminating standing water, according to the state's Department of Environmental Quality.
