TESS was launched into space in April 2018 and is created to search for exoplanets by the transit method, photometry, it monitors the brightness variations of the star during the passage of the planet on its disk. The stars which become its targets are in fact 30 to 300 light years away and nearly 30 to 100 times brighter when compared to Kepler's targets which too are 300 to 3,000 light years away. (more...)

SpaceX Monday named Yusaku Maezawa as their first private passenger to the moon . Maezawa said he'll collaborate with SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and the rest of the SpaceX crew to figure out suitable candidates for the Moon project. Musk, who is well-known for issuing overly ambitious schedules, said during a Q&A in March that he hoped to begin testing the spaceship portion of the BFR sometime in 2019. (more...)

This is not the first time the California-based company, headed by Internet entrepreneur and Tesla electric auto CEO Elon Musk, has touted plans to send tourists around the Moon . An 81-year-old man fell and struck his head while packing to evacuate Wayne County, NC on Friday, according to a release from the NC State Emergency Response team. "It may be a while before we can get to you". "Pretty soon I had a hundred of my closest friends out here helping us out", Britt said.
