A little girl has been found out to be living with a serious condition which makes her heart push out of her chest whenever she laughs. She is suffering from a rare congenital condition, Pentalogy of Cantrell or thoraco-abdominal syndrome. Her mother hopes that someday doctors will have able to provide her with the treatment she needs. Meanwhile, the determined girl is proud of her heart. (more...)

The Michigan State University Grand Rapids Research Center was opened Wednesday morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with several dignitaries attending. Education Secretary. She said, "It's about the process of testing ideas and questions and preparing students to tackle real world challenges". The medical research center will work on Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases along with autism, pediatric cancers and women's health. (more...)
