Ubisoft's Skull & Bones Has Been Delayed Indefinitely

Ubisoft delays Skull & Bones again and won't show it at E3 2019

The bad news is that Skull & Bones has been delayed again.

"Skull & Bones" is a multiplayer action title promising both solo and co-op gameplay, where people can choose a captain, establish a hideout, recruit a crew, and battle in a variety of game modes.

In its year-end fiscal report (cheers VG247), Ubisoft detailed that Skull and Bones will now instead be released in the 2020/2021 fiscal year, which translates to a release that is anywhere between April 2020 and March 2021. Ubisoft informed shareholders that there will be four new Triple A games released before the end of March 2020. Then, it was delayed to the financial year 2019/20, and now it has been delayed until 'after 2019/2020'. In addition, Ubisoft also announced that the game will be skipping this year's E3.

Skull & Bones has been one of Ubisoft's big E3 showcase titles for a couple of years now, taking the boat combat mechanics introduced in Assassin's Creed and fleshing it out into a full game. One of those is Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
