Aaron Rodgers explains 'Game of Thrones' cameo: 'I'll always be thankful'

In honor of Rodgers' brief role, we've rounded up every major celebrity cameo in Game of Thrones so far, through Season 8, episode 5.

Rodgers has been a long fan of the hit HBO show.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has always been a fan of the hit television show "Game of Thrones", and he confirmed in an Instagram post that he made a cameo appearance in Sunday night's episode.

Rodgers himself posted a behind the scenes pic on Instagram.

In one of them, as King's Landing faces the wrath of Daenarys and Drogon, Rodgers appears to be running away from the dragon's fire breath until he gets burned alive.

"I was helping a woman, who was injured...then the hell with her I'm getting out of there", Rodgers explained.
