National Basketball Association fans roast the Sixers after very bad performance in Game 1

Retooled star-rich Sixers face challenge from Nets

Joel Embiid is in the starting lineup for the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 of their playoff series against Brooklyn. Johnson was caught on ESPN cameras on a cell phone, showing Sixers center Joel Embiid what appeared to be a text message during a game in which the Sixers were trailing.

3-point shooting is one of the biggest reasons why the Nets are now up 1-0 in the series. This season, Embiid is averaging 27.5 points, 13.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. "[The team is] going to do whatever they can as far as getting me ready and healthy, but if my body doesn't respond based on the pain level, there's really nothing you can do".

Harris said Brown was a "great coach" but fell well short of giving him a vote of confidence.

Game 2 is Monday at 8:00 p.m. EST from Philadelphia as the 76ers look to bounce back.

"If you're gonna boo, then stay on that side", Simmons said.

Embiid said Johnson received an update on a sick daughter.

Simmons also blasted the 20,437 Sixers fans for booing the team for most of the game.

Tiger Woods wins The Masters for the first time since 2005
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, much like the patrons at the event, was in disbelief about Woods' win. Couldn't lay down. "So I enjoy it, it's fun, getting definitely more comfortable with it as every major goes by".

And if the Sixers don't go deep, what does that mean for their coach Brett Brown? Ed Davis came of the bench to add 12 points and 16 rebounds in a surprise performance. Guys like DeMarre Carroll, who is going to be an asset in the playoffs, and Kenneth Faried, (remember him) were shipped to Brooklyn so their former teams can make a playoff run without worrying about the cap hits.

Philadelphia: City of Brotherly boos.

Nets: C Jarrett Allen was whistled for fouls on Philadelphia's first two possessions.

76ers: Butler and Tobias Harris are both eligible for free agency and could stick around after they were acquired in mid-season trades. I've never said anything about them.

Philly, we need to talk.

Well, the Brooklyn Nets have done the unthinkable.
