These clever Galaxy S10 wallpapers embrace the hole-punch camera

This selfie camera's oneday successor may not even be visible within the display

Apparently not as Samsung is now working to remove it by completely hiding front-facing cameras behind the display.

At that time this thing seemed amusing but later on, we got such devices and the number of cameras kept on increasing with the quality getting even better than before.

Samsung's newest device lineup includes the Galaxy S10, which is the first smartphone to feature its futuristic "Infinity O" display. Even the best mobile screens like the OLED display on the iPhone XS and the Dynamic AMOLED display on Samsung's Galaxy S10 are imperfect, either with a notch or a hole punch.

For now, Samsung will continue churning out displays with punch-hole cameras and perhaps one day, the Korean manufacturer will have its "Eureka" moment when it finally perfects that all-screen design.

"Punching a hole in the OLED (organic light-emitting diode) display is a very challenging technology", quoted Yang Byung-duk, VP of Samsung's Mobile Communication. In order to make such a device, all the sensors are a camera on the front side have moved under the display.

At its Unpacked event in February, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Fold, making it one of the first major gadget makers to bring a folding phone to market. He admitted the technology could take over two years to develop, reports the news agency.

However, creating a smartphone with a full-screen display where all sensors embedded into the screen is the ultimate goal of the company.

Samsung is also considering developing an OLED display technology that allows the screen to double as a speaker, thus potentially eliminating the need for an earpiece cutout.
