Harry and Meghan to get own royal household in split from Cambridges

Ms Latham will report directly to the Queen's communications secretary.

Prince William and Kate Middleton's office will remain in Kensington Palace.

The Queen announced the Sussexes will have their own Household - which will be created with the support of both the Queen and the Prince of Wales.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have lived in Nottingham Cottage - a house within the grounds of Kensington Palace in London - since they were engaged previous year.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by Buckingham Palace: "The Queen has agreed to the creation of a new Household for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, following their marriage in May past year".

"The Duke of Sussex now has his own private office, which has been supporting The Duchess since Their Royal Highness's engagement in November 2017".

Meghan and Prince Harry recently made an appearance at London's Canada House and the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on Monday (Tuesday NZ time).

Kensington Palace tells Yahoo UK that Meghan, 37, has no more public duties scheduled, but she does have a number of private meetings. This will be confirmed by Kensington Palace in an official statement. "She'll be preparing for her maternity leave", the source added.

But one thing we know for sure is that Prince Harry will be by her side every step of the way and is even planning on taking a few weeks off himself to spend with baby Sussex once he or she arrives.

But there has been some speculation that Meghan could decide to have her child at the NHS-run Frimley Park Hospital in Camberley, Surrey, which is much closer to their new home when they move to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

"Sara joins from Freuds where she oversaw global corporate accounts with a particular emphasis on executive thought leadership and purpose-led campaigns", the statement added of Latham, who according to her LinkedIn profile, previously served as a senior adviser to Clinton from August 2015 to November 2016.
