Outage hits Gmail users around world

Facing issues using Google Drive and Gmail? You are definitely not the only one

Thousands of reports were filed on Tuesday night, according to DownDetector.

Gmail users have also taken to social media to complain about problems sending emails.

Google had confirmed the issues with Gmail and Google Drive on G Suite Status Dashboard and the company noted that the outage began at 8:23am IST.

If you're unable to send emails in Gmail or upload files to Drive, you're not alone.

Down Detector's live outage map is showing that some of the worst hit countries at the present time include Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan and the United States. "The affected users are able to access Gmail, but are seeing error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behaviour". In a statement, Google too has acknowledged the issue.

The issues affected users around the globe, with people in the US, Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America reporting problems. But if there's a project or deadline assignment you need to send right away, and Gmail is your only e-mail account, you'll have a flawless excuse as to why you didn't get it on time.
