Google Assistant's Continued Conversation Feature Comes to Smart Displays

Google Duplex assistant is coming to more states and restaurants

Android Central reviewed the Hub on release, praising its display, build quality and smart home management tools.

Upon its announcement, the feature raised concerns to many who argued that the Google Assistant was far too convincble to being a real person, really freaking some people out.

Continued Conversations makes it so users don't have to say the "Hey Google" command quite so much.

On Google Home speakers, the LEDs remain illuminated to tell you the speaker is still listening (it shuts off after a few seconds).

"After you initially trigger the Assistant with a request, the Assistant will stay active for long enough to respond to follow up questions". Do let us know your favourite feature in the comments section below. All you have to do is tap on the group name of the player on the screen, and that will get things started.

There's a Kraft-Trump connection to Wild Orchids of Asia scandal
The president addressed last month's scandal. "He's proclaimed his innocence totally, but I'm very surprised to see it". In the aftermath of Kraft's arrest, Trump was asked about the case during a media briefing in February.

Saying "OK Google" is already more syllables than are required to wake up competing smart assistants like Alexa. As yet there's no word on when Continued Conversation might be available for other languages.

There are also new ways consumers can use Google Assistant with their smart displays to play games, share photos or interpret different languages. But my colleague Chris Welch notes that it can be a little weird to not be able to listen in on those calls yourself to hear exactly what happened. The deal applies to the Chalk and Charcoal versions of the Google Home Hub, meaning you can color match or mix it up.

It's also now easier to dismiss certain cards on the home screen, requiring just a swipe up when you don't need them anymore. With Live Albums, you can show off the best photos of your favorite people and pets without you having g to curate them. One of the most popular of these is Continued Conversations. Now it's expanding support to more devices.
