VR comes to Nintendo Switch

Nintendo's Labo VR kits turn the Switch into a Google Cardboard with extras

The VR Kits for Nintendo Switch will be available on 12 April and cost $79.99 and $39.99 respectively (we're still waiting for United Kingdom prices).

Not wishing to make people double dip, owners of the starter kit can pick up two expansion sets for $19.99 each. Expansion Set 2 will include Toy-Con Bird and Toy-Con Pedal.

Nintendo's VR headset doesn't require a strap-on to stay affixed.

Similar to previous Labo sets, the VR kit will launch in different bundles. While the VR Kit will be available in stores next month, the two expansions will be available online only.

There's no video for the new kits just yet, but you can read the full United States press release below.

U.S. trade deficit surges to 10-year high in 2018

Second HIV patient appears cured after stem cell transplant
The unidentified man now joins Timothy Ray Brown, also known as The Berlin Patient , the only other person to be cured of HIV . The case was published online Monday by the journal Nature and will be presented at an HIV conference in Seattle.

The kit is the fourth in the Nintendo Labo series of craftable DIY add-ons to the Nintendo Switch, which launched past year. Personally, I'm wondering if the goggles will have as distinctive and memorable a smell as the Virtual Boy, and somewhere I'm sure my dad is delighted he can just buy a bunch of cardboard instead of renting us an entire headset at Blockbuster.

Nintendo Labo: VR Kit offers six new Toy-Con creations to build, including the Toy-Con VR Goggles, which combine with the other creations, encouraging players to use natural movements and gestures to interact with the gaming world and elevating the Nintendo Labo gameplay experience. The kits will support the Switch being used for the screens, and the Joy-Con will be used for tracking. "VR Kit is a unique first VR experience kids and families can build themselves!"

The inventive Toy-Con Garage mode - included as part of all Nintendo Labo software - returns with Nintendo Labo: VR Kit, offering basic programming tools for players to experiment with.

In the past few weeks, rumors have been circulating about the introduction of VR to the Nintendo Switch console.
