Watch Elsa ride icy waves in first Frozen 2 trailer

Disney has surprised us with the first trailer for Frozen 2, the follow up to their insanely successful animated film starring Ana and Elsa.

The new footage features a dramatic sequence in which Elsa (Idina Menzel) uses her powers to run, climb, and slide across a body of water, including a moment in which she freezes and then scales a wave.

Also joining the cast are Westworld actress Evan Rachel Wood and This Is Us actor Sterling K. Brown. "Disney Animation developing #Frozen2", the studio said on Twitter, adding that directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee would be back for the second installment of the musical tale.

In late January the reunited ensemble of the original Frozen had already begun teasing the film on Twitter and Instagram.

The original "Frozen" movie became a massive hit when it opened in 2013, earning over $1.3 billion at the worldwide box office, along with two Oscars.

The film was later adapted into a Broadway musical just previous year where it was nominated for three Tony awards.

The sequel hits theaters on November 22, 2019.
