The Baltimore Ravens have reached an agreement to trade quarterback Joe Flacco to the Broncos, according to ESPN.

Teams are prohibited from commenting on the trade or the terms until it is officially processed when the new National Football League year begins next month.

With Jackson on a rookie contract, Baltimore should have some of the most cap space in the league in the coming years.

NFL Media reports Denver will send a mid-round pick to Baltimore in exchange. He spent 11 seasons with the Ravens and was the MVP of their Super Bowl triumph over the San Francisco 49ers to conclude the 2012 season.

Flacco has $79 million remaining on his contract over the next three seasons.

In nine starts with the Ravens a year ago, Flacco had 2,465 passing yards and 12 touchdowns to six interceptions.

Flacco, 34, was injured during the 2018 season with Baltimore after nine games (which included a 27-14 win over the Broncos in Week 3).

The reported trade thrusts the future of incumbent Broncos starter Case Keenum into jeopardy. They have struggled to find a reliable starter since the retirement of Peyton Manning in 2016. In his career he's thrown for more 38,245 passing yards and 212 touchdowns.
