"A rollable OLED TV is a true game-changer, liberating users from the limitations of the wall and freeing them to curate their own personal space which no longer needs to be reserved full time for TV viewing", said the LG announcement.

There was chatter at CES over Hisense's new ULED XD display tech, which uses a dual-layer panel (essentially a 4K screen with another HD screen behind it) to enhance local dimming and dynamic range - though we're yet to see any models announced with the new tech. However, there is no word if and when the TV will go on sale.

Is this really "the world's most cinematic TV"? It is powered by the company's second-gen Alpha 9 processor. LG claims that the TV comes with high processing capabilities with 8K upscaling and improved noise reduction. The latest one is the biggest 8K TV announced so far.

Samsung also expanded its 8K TV series with the introduction of a 98-inch model. The Q900 will be equipped with a Quantum processor 8K chipset.
