Marcelo Bielsa admits sending spy to Derby County training

Championship leaders Leeds host sixth-placed Derby (LIVE on ESPN+, 2:40 pm ET) on Friday, but the build-up to the match has been dominated by reports that a person was arrested for cutting a hole in the fence and spying on the final prematch training session for Lampard's side.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Lampard said: 'I don't think we need to [make a complaint] because he has admitted it. It's enough Frank Lampard and Derby felt it was not the right thing to do.

The first, in August, ended in a 4-1 Leeds win and the latest episode came on Thursday when police were called after a man was seen acting suspiciously outside... The responsibility for this lies with me.

"Are you telling me Frank Lampard in the past, with team-mates in the opposition, that they don't find out who's in and who's out?"

"It has since been confirmed to Derby County that the individual concerned is an employee of the footballing staff at Leeds United Football Club".

But Nicholas said: "I take it that it's not sportsmanlike but any angle you can take in the modern day game".

Phillies rumors: Expect Manny Machado decision in the next week
While a decision may be coming soon, it's still unclear who has the lead in the bidding. The White Sox have signed Manny Machado's mom as assistant general manager.

The ex-Argentina boss said before the game that he had apologised to Derby boss Frank Lampard, and added that he had used that type of practice "since the qualifiers for the World Cup with Argentina".

It was an extraordinary end to a day in which Leeds moved five points clear at the top of the Championship and Derby's manager was left incensed and refused to accept Bielsa's explanation after he accused the Argentinian of spying on his team before both meetings between the clubs this season.

'If we are going to talk about culturally I did it somewhere else and it was fine then that doesn't work for me because I don't believe that it is fine on that level.

"The man was asked to leave but it wasn't followed up like it has been this time". This is not illegal, we have been doing it publicly, we talk about it in the press. "People are going to say I'm trying to make an excuse - but I'm going to speak like this after the game win, lose or draw".

'If somebody wants to say that's not relevant and that won't affect the game, then I think that if tactics aren't relevant and how you prepare than that means Pep Guardiola, Mauricio Pochettino, Jurgen Klopp, all the great managers, then they are just lucky. I have a different point of view on it, but the important thing is what Frank Lampard and Derby think.
