Gunners close in on Denis Suarez loan deal

Arsenal transfer news Denis Suarez tells Barcelona who he wants to play for next

Arsenal play their 32nd game of the season against West Ham on Saturday and Emery has revealed he is making alterations to his squad's training schedule.

"I don't know now his [Suarez's] situation but we can only sign on a loan", Emery said. "At the moment, I haven't got any news".

The 25-year-old is expected to be involved in Barcelona's Copa del Rey match against Levante on Thursday after the Blaugrana named an 18-man squad for the match at Estadi Ciutat de Valencia before completing the formalities of his move to north London, with the two clubs in advanced discussions over the loan move.

"Only loan players", Emery said in his pre-match press conference before being asked about Denis Suarez, one of the players linked with a loan move to the Emirates.

Arsenal sit fifth in the Premier League and have an upcoming FA Cup fourth round tie at home to Manchester United. "But I can not sign more".

When asked whether he would give players a break or make changes to his training regime, Emery answered: 'We are doing that.

'We are working, and also thinking and speaking with our performance [analyst] Darren [Burgess] and Julen Masach [strength and conditioning coach], for this week and this month. I know these players and they are very good players.

"We both spoke about the situation with respect from him and from us".

Arsenal confirmed that Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny, Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Mesut Ozil were all back in full training ahead of facing West Ham.

"But I am happy with every player today, it is really some injuries that didn't help us in the last matches because we struggled with different injuries with the players". This training session is important [to work out who can play].
