Super blood wolf moon eclipse coming on January 20th - 21st

The moon turned red during a lunar eclipse in Canakkale Turkey in July

January 21 marks the date for our full moon. In the past year, Super Blue Moon was featured with a red tinge which was caused through the shadow of Earth by the moon itself.

The new year will get off to a splendid begin when an uncommon ruddy orange body called a Super Blood Wolf Moon graces the sky in January, Forbes reports. Since the Sun's light will be falling on the moon during the rotation, it will appear reddish. Over the course of the next hour or so the Moon will appear to dim slightly before entering the umbra, where lunar observers would see the whole... The shadow of the earth will cause some unique red color on the moon, and hence the name is well referred to "Super Blood Wolf Moon".

The super' in the Super Blood Wolf Moon comes from the Supermoon aspect of this lunar eclipse.

While the moniker supermoon sounds gargantuan, and the orb may be closer than normal - moons have to come within 90 percent of its closest approach to Earth to qualify - but EarthSky writers explain that supermoons don't actually look bigger than ordinary full moons.

The Pie update also brings the December Android security patch, as per users who have posted screenshots of the changelog. Nokia 6.1 Plus, one HMD Global's budget offerings, is now getting a new build of Android 9 Pie - as per a user report.

It's a combination of three separate things - a super moon, a wolf moon and a lunar eclipse.

The next total lunar eclipse will happen on May 26, 2021, and will be visible over the Pacific Ocean. This phenomenon is termed as Super Blood Wolf Moon.

The name was coined because wolves tend to howl a lot during their breeding season in January and February.

Anyone on the dark side of Earth that night, which includes all of North and South America, will be able to see the eclipse, Alcock said. Totality will happen around 9:12 p.m. PST or 12:12 a.m. EST on January 21, yet Forbes recommends taking a seat a hour heretofore to watch the moon change from incomplete shroud to add up to overshadow.
