Real Madrid reportedly agree deal to sign Chelsea star Eden Hazard

Maurizio Sarri has been keen to tie his star player down to a new long-term contract, but admits the decision rests with Hazard.

Sarri has been prepared to let Hazard do his thing in 2018-19, with eight goals and six assists his reward so far, and Kompany believes a fellow countryman has found the right boss for him.

"I know very well that there are discussions between the club and the manager of Eden every week, I think, so if there is something new, the club will call me immediately".

"But I want him here if he wants to stay here". Eventually a manager like this is what he needed, no matter where he was, to get the best out of him.

The first and the most basic thing that Chelsea need to do is to qualify for the Champions League next season in order for them to provide any sort of footballing incentive to Eden Hazard. The future is bright for him'.

A loss to Wolves in midweek, 11 days after losing their unbeaten record to Tottenham, has heaped pressure on Sarri, whose idiosyncratic methods are now under question.

They are said to be demanding a hefty price tag of around £150m to try and deter the Spanish side, who are reportedly unwilling to pay such a big fee given Hazard's contract at Stamford Bridge will expire in 2020.

'Look at the way they try and build up, the way they try and play through the middle, the talent they have upfront to create chances - you can only say that they are the real deal'. And that is what makes this game exciting I think.
