Arsenal Players Warned After 'Hippy Crack' Video Emerges

Alexandre Lacazette, Mesut Ozil, Matteo Guendouzi and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were all pictured inhaling from balloons alleged to have contained the gas, which is also known as "hippy crack" or "laughing gas".

While it is not illegal to possess the drug, it is illegal to give away or sell.

A club spokesperson said: "The players will be spoken to about this and reminded of their responsibilities as representatives of the club".

The Sun quoted a source as saying that the players had been "off their heads on the gas" and that Ozil, 30, a World Cup victor with Germany in 2014, had "looked out of it at one point".

Shkodran Mustafi and Sead Kolasinac are also seen in the video with balloons in their mouths, which is how the gas is ingested.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's arrival in January appeared to jeopardise his Arsenal career before it had even truly begun, but the pair have dovetailed superbly in Unai Emery's new-look side.

In the video, which reportedly comes from a London venue shortly before the start of the current season, other Gunners players including Henrik Mkhitaryan can be seen rejecting the offer to use the gas.

Manchester United came back twice from behind to snatch a point against Arsenal at the Old Trafford in the Premier League on Thursday.
