Ariana Grande Releases Celebrity-Packed "Thank U, Next" Music Video

SCREENGRAB

After over a week of teasing, Ariana Grande released the music video for empowerment bop "Thank U, Next" this morning, and it's everything our little rom-com-loving hearts wished for.

Grande's one-time Victorious co-star Matt Bennett, Mean Girls' Jonathan Bennett and Stefanie Drummond, Dynasty actress Elizabeth Gillies (looking a lot like Lindsay Lohan from Mean Girls), singer Troye Sivan and YouTube stars Colleen Ballinger and Gabi DeMartino were also included.

For Legally Blonde, Grande slipped into an all-pink ensemble worthy of Elle Woods (originally played by Reese Witherspoon) and perfected her "bend and snap" with Jennifer Coolidge, who reprised her role as sage nail artist Paulette Parcelle. We don't know if we can handle that, to be perfectly honest.

Parts of the video, including a feisty cheerleading battle and an emotional dollhouse scene, harken back to other big-screen teen classics Bring It On and 13 Going on 30.

"In a subsequent tweet, YouTube said on its Team YouTube account this afternoon, "@ArianaGrande the thank u, next video was so good, it broke the internet (or at least delayed YouTube comments from posting for a bit)".

Plus, Kris Jenner! The momager makes a surprise appearance, playing the role of Regina George's mom flawlessly.

Then, Grande struts through the halls of a recreated North Shore High with her Mean Girls lookalikes.

Who Are All Of These People In Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next" Trailer?

After build-up galore, pop queen Ariana Grande has released the music video for her smash-hit breakup anthem "Thank U, Next", and it's jam-packed with Mean Girls-era nostalgia. Grande's close friends Courtney Chipolone and Alexa Luria (who's holding her chest in a nod to her character's ability to predict the weather with her breasts) rounded out the Plastics, standing in for Lacey Chabert's constantly overlooked Gretchen Wieners and Amanda Seyfried's lovably tiresome Karen Smith, respectively.

"Thank U, Next" received plenty of attention because it is all about her exes. Grande's Kirsten Dunst impression during the Bring It On scenes8. "He's really cute. And it was... it was really big", perhaps in reference to a certain type of "big energy" that Davidson reportedly has.
