Two pilots report UFO's in sky over Ireland
Whatever it may have been, pilots stated that the bright light was going at an "astronomical" speed of at least Mach 2 (2,500 km/h), which is twice as fast as a commercial jetliner!
Just before 7 o'clock last Friday morning, Shannon Air Traffic control got a call from a British Airways pilot passing over Kerry enquiring if there was a military exercise taking place in the area.
The Irish Aviation Authority is investigating unusual sightings of bright lights and UFOs reported by three commercial aircraft pilots while in contact with Shannon Air Traffic Control last weekend. ATC denied the assumptions, adding that "there is nothing showing on either primary or secondary [radar]".
The pilot of the Boeing 787, which was flying from Montreal to Heathrow, went on to describe how he spotted a odd flying object that "was moving so fast".
The controller then asked: "Alongside you?".

Air India operations director stopped from piloting flight after failing breath tests
He was scheduled to operate a flight from New Delhi to Bengaluru and claimed that the flight would get delayed. For safety reasons, they are prohibited from consuming alcohol before reporting for duty.
A Virgin Airlines pilot of VS76 from Orlando to Manchester reported seeing the same thing.
She said it came along the left-hand side of the plane before veering rapidly north. He confirmed that there were "multiple objects following the same sort of trajectory" which was all very bright.
A spokesman for the Irish Aviation Authority told the Irish Times it was investigating the incident and would file a report.
The planes were flying in high level airspace - which extends upwards from 28,500ft to 42,000ft.
Airlive says a third pilot also saw the freaky lights and that the Irish Aviation Authority has filed a report with the sightings due to be "investigated under the normal confidential occurrence investigation process".
