Mayweather challenges Nurmagomedov to a fight

Daniel Cormier thinks his pal Khabib Nurmagomedov would get'beat up by Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather has locked in on his next opponent.

White had previously stated that the fighters who were seen attacking Conor McGregor inside the cage during the melee would no longer compete in the UFC.

"When I face Khabib, of course I am getting a nine-figure payday", he said.

TMZ Sports caught up with Mayweather (50-0), and he didn't shy away from Nurmagomedov's request for a fight whatsoever.

The US boxing icon touched on Nurmagomedov's condition that, should the fight happen, it would have to be outside Las Vegas - where the Russian star is facing suspension and has had his $2 million McGregor fight purse withheld due to the post-fight brawl that marred his victory. But let's not all forget there was a period of time where the idea of seeing Mayweather square off with McGregor in a boxing ring sounded implausible - yet, there we all were last August watching it happen.

After defeating McGregor himself at UFC 229 earlier this month to also stay unbeaten, Nurmagomedov said he now wanted to face Mayweather.

Nurmagomedov claimed that he already had one over on Mayweather by putting McGregor down in their bout, which the boxer failed to do in his 10th-round TKO win over the Irishman - although Mayweather dismissed that notion. OK, Khabib. You got my leftovers.

Mayweather also challenged Manny Pacquiao in September to a rematch of their record breaking 2015 fight.

"I'm my own boss, so I can't say what's going on on Khabib's end".

McGregor fought and lost to Khabib a couple of weeks ago back in the UFC. We have to fight now: 50-0 versus 27-0. Because in the jungle, there's only one king.

Mayweather thinks he will make even more money fighting the Russian than he did when he took on McGregor. Probably $100 million more, guaranteed. Of course, I'm the king because he cannot drop McGregor, but I drop him easily.

And with Khabib cementing his legacy with his destruction of McGregor, and St-Pierre being a proven draw when it comes to pay-per-views, the UFC would stand to make a hell of a lot of money from the two squaring off.
