Google Pixel Slate: What to expect for this Chrome OS tablet

Google Pixel Slate with Chrome OS detachable keyboard leaked

As we inch towards the end of a smartphone year, we will witness one of the last few major launches of 2018 tonight.

The US technology firm teased last night there could be plenty of surprises and it could be worth tuning in.

The Pixel Slate, Google's first Chrome OS tablet, was leaked ahead of the upcoming Made by Google event.

Which of you will follow the live streaming of the Google event?

London and Paris are also holding events with things kicking off at 4pm BST. These phones are also expected to get host of new live wallpapers.

The cover picture shows the Google Pixel C.

The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are reported to continue with the design of the Pixel 2-series.

This new teaser from Google brings us back to square one as we now have no idea if the leaks were true or Google deliberately leaked those to distract us from the real Pixel 3.

Finally there's rumours around something called the Google Hub.

Earlier this year at CES, Google debuted its smart display platform - hardware device with visual elements such as cards, carousels, native YouTube, Google Maps, Google Photos app and Duo video conferencing. We will have to wait and see how many devices will be launched in the event this week. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will support wireless charging for the first time.

The firm released the first pair of Pixel Buds to go along with the Pixel 2 previous year, and now it's widely believed that it will release a refreshed pair to go with the new lineup of Pixel phones. It is expected that Google will also launch the next generation Pixel buds earphones as Pixel Buds 2, they will have a new design and they will be supporting Google Assistant and Translate. Rumours suggest it will support USB-C, have a 3000 x 2000 resolution, and a fingerprint sensor.

A user on Reddit recently posted images of the alleged cost of both flagships from an undeclared Canadian outlet. The battery capacity is said to be 2,915 mAh, up from 2,700 mAh of Pixel 2.

Finally, we are here: tomorrow, Tuesday 9 October, the new top-of-the-line Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL smartphones will be presented. The review reveals nearly everything about the two Pixel phones.

For instance, the Google Pixel 3 XL has a deep and ugly notch (obviously!), it comes with 4 GB RAM and Snapdragon 845 chipset.

The biggest change under the hood would be in the charging department, as the new Pixels are expected to be Google's first devices to offer wireless charging solutions.

"Pre-orders start immediately after the event".

"To get the full scoop, catch the big reveal via livestream".
