Weinstein accuser reveals video of apparent harassment

The footage, given to by United Kingdom -based Sky News, shows a 2011 meeting in New York City in which Melissa Thompson, then 28 years old, is pitching her web video and analytics start-up to the Hollywood producer for the Weinstein Company.

Melissa Thompson, who has previously publicly complained of abusive behaviour by Weinstein during a 2011 business meeting in NY, gave a tape of the encounter to Sky News.

While pitching her product, she appeared to make a joke about data being hot right now.

"Let me have a little part of you", he replies. Give it to me. "It's okay, would you like to do it some more?" he can be heard saying.

"Um we'll see, a little bit", Thompson replies.

Thompson is clearly on edge, trying to keep the boundaries of professionalism up while also attempting to appease the very rich and powerful man she is hoping to do business with.

When she arrived, Weinstein allegedly led her to his hotel room where she says he raped her. Weinstein ignored it, instead grabbing the woman in a hug and rubbing her back.

Thompson told Sky News that she did feel she ever encouraged Weinstein's advances and felt that he was playing a game of "cat and mouse" with her to test her limits and identify her vulnerabilities.

"(I was) trying to manage the situation", she said.

She was eventually fined $17,000 but the angry tirade opened up a huge debate over coaching and the treatment of women in tennis. He received praise from the ITF for his professionalism in one of the most controversial Grand Slam finals of all time .

Weinstein's lawyer told Sky that when the video is viewed in context, "it demonstrates that there is nothing forceful, but casual, if not awkward, flirting from both parties".

"We believe that the People's response in its entirety makes it absolutely clear that the case against Mr. Weinstein can not be successfully prosecuted", said Brafman in a statement to Deadline.

"This is a further attempt to publicly disgrace Mr Weinstein for financial gain, and we will not stand for it". At one point, he appears genuinely interested in using her service, instructing her to tell her boss to sign him up.

Thompson told Sky News he then ran his hand up her skirt. Thompson had set up a meeting with Weinstein's company at their offices.

"If I would try to fight myself away from him, he would then move around to a place where he could block me in", Thompson said. I constantly felt trapped, no matter where I turned.

Weinstein was charged in Manhattan criminal court earlier this year with the rape and sexual abuse of two separate women in 2013 and 2004.

"I never met anyone that I couldn't handle until Harvey Weinstein", she added. "We don't have to live with being raped when we think we're going to a business meeting", Thompson said.

Meantime, prosecutors are challenging Weinstein's attorneys' claims that they hid evidence from the jury that could have helped the disgraced filmmaker deny his sexual assault allegations, including one email in which an alleged victim wrote, "I love you, always do". They said the secret grand jury documents provided to the judge were enough to show they presented evidence "fairly and in a manner that was not misleading".

"It wasn't an invitation to go to his hotel room".
