FDA announces recall of hypertension medication

A blood pressure medication has been recalled after the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) discovered that bottles of it contained another drug.

Accord Healthcare has recalled one lot of 12.5-milligram hydrochlorothiazide tablets because the 100-count bottle was discovered to contain 100 spironolactone tablets.

The FDA has announced that Accord Healthcare is voluntarily recalling a blood pressure medication due to a mix-up.

One side of the pill has an "H", and the other side has a "1".

The FDA says if you happen to will beget a hydrochlorothiazide prescription and the capsules in your bottle attain no longer match that description, or if you happen to are undecided, return them to your pharmacy or physician.
