31-under par! LPGA Young gun runs hot

Sei Young Kim has broken the previous 72-hole scoring record on the Tour, with a nine-shot win at the LPGA Classic in Wisconsin.

With Kim entering the final round holding an eight-shot lead, the only question was whether she would continue to tear up Thornberry Creek's Legends Championship Course to overtake the LPGA record in relation to par.

The 25-year-old carded a seven-under-par 65 in the final round, after Thursday's 63, Friday's 65 and Saturday's 64. She would tack on three more birdies including a 12-footer on 17, one of the toughest holes on the course, and finished at 22-under. Kim won the 2016 Founders Cup at 27 under, while Sorenstam won the 2001 Standard Register Ping at 27 under, the tournament Sorenstam shot 59.

"When I came they told me that you have to shot a low score here, so I tried my best, tried to fire at all the pins and make as many putts as I could", said Ciganda. Anna Nordqvist, Amy Yang and Emma Talley finished joint third, 11 behind Kim.

"First hole, my second shot was nearly a tap-in birdie, so (I) started really solid", said Kim, who is seeking a seventh LPGA title.

But now she's surpassed the player she idolized for so long, in the process also setting the LPGA 72-hole record at 257.

"She's a great player. She had a heck of a week and I'm really excited for her". She has yet to win a major title. During the final round, Kim showed outstanding accuracy with her iron shots, with a Greens in Regulation percentage of 94.4.

Facebook handed maximum data breach fine for role in Cambridge Analytica scandal
The British agency said Facebook may have had a "missed opportunity" in 2014 to have thwarted Kogan's activities on the site. It also said it would send warning letters to 11 political parties to compel them to audit their data protection practices.

"Front nine, I just couldn't get one to drop, and back nine, hit lots of good putts and, again, nothing happened", Kirk said. That victory had propelled her to eighth in the world, although she had slipped to 26th coming into this week. In addition, the 17-under marks the first time in her career, amateur, college or professional, that she has finished in double figures.

Fox, who shot a 68, earned one of three spots to the British Open in two weeks at Carnoustie.

Victory at Oneida never seemed in doubt for Kim, who collected $300,000 in prize money having held the lead after her second round of 65.

No one had a chance Sunday. She couldn't keep pace, however, and made a double bogey on the par-5 15th by hitting one shot in the water and another in a hazard.

Knox closed with a 6-under 66 to set the clubhouse target at 14-under par.

Kim and Brooke Henderson are the only players to have registered LPGA wins in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
