Prince Louis' 6 Godparents Announced Ahead of Christening

GETTY Prince Louis christening takes place just days after William returns from Middle East

While a press release from Kensington Palace confirms that the infant's famous aunts and uncles - specifically, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and Pippa Middleton - will attend the service, not one has been named a godparent.

The Victorian gown entered the record books, having been worn by 62 babies during its lifespan, including Queen Elizabeth during her christening at Buckingham Palace on May 26, 1926.

Following the service, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to give a private tea at Clarence House.

Eleven-week-old Prince Louis is scheduled to attend his first ever royal event Monday afternoon: His christening Monday in the Chapel Royal at St. James's Palace.

The only senior members of the royal family in attendance will be The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Prince William and Kate Middleton's third child, Prince Louis, will be christened today, on 9 July, 2018.

Just as after George and Charlotte's baptisms, guests will be served slices of christening cake, taken from a tier of the duke and duchess' wedding cake.
