The accused shared the video with some friends in the school, who allegedly blackmailed and raped her. Worse, according to the SP, the principal called her one day after school and raped her in his chamber. The girl narrated her ordeal to and reported to police on Friday.

"The poor girl apprehending stigma and the video going viral in public went on succumbing to the carnal desires of other boys and two teachers in possession of the video", police superintendent Rai told HT. The clip was later used to blackmail her for sex over by 15 other accused, including the school principal, two teachers and school mates.

A case has been registered at the Ekma police station in Chhapra's Parsagarh, based on the girl's statement taken at a women's police station.

Mr Rai said the girl finally complained to the school principal, who instead of looking into the allegations, also sexually exploited her. The police are on the lookout for the others who have been named in the victim's complaint.

The police action came after the victim approached Superintendent of Police Har Kishore Rai.
