Sadio Mane says is happy at Liverpool amidst Real Madrid links

Sadio Mane insists he is happy at Liverpool following Real Madrid speculation

Senegal attacking talisman Sadio Mane has responded to reports linking him with a sensational move to 13-time European champions Real Madrid in the off-season.

The Senegal worldwide scored in last month's Champions League defeat to the Spanish club and speculation nearly immediately suggested he was a target for them - before Zinedine Zidane's shock resignation.

Mane is now in Russian Federation with the Senegal squad, as they bid for progress from Group H, taking on Poland (June 19), Japan (June 24) and Colombia (June 28).

"I am very happy in Liverpool and my contract will last for three more years", he told Salzburger Nachrichten. As as I say, I'm happy at Anfield but you never know what will happen in the future.

Rahane insists India won’t take Test debutants Afghanistan lightly
The team which we have is really good. "We have succeeded in our plans and we will look play this Test the same way". But Rahane, who is standing in as captain for Virat Kohli, said there was no room for complacency in cricket.

However, Mane did add the caveat that he wants to start winning trophies in the near future, something Liverpool haven't been able to do under Jurgen Klopp. The whole club worked hard for this Champions League title, but Real Madrid were the better team that day.

Real have moved quickly to appoint a successor and announced on Tuesday Julen Lopategui will succeed the Frenchman, a development which has cost him his job as Spain manager just two days before La Roja begin their World Cup campaign against Portugal.

'I feel no pressure. To be honest, I am very happy to be playing this tournament together with my team.

"Now's the moment to focus on putting in a good and successful World Cup with Senegal".
