Millie Bobby Brown Deletes Twitter After 'Homophobic Memes' Go Viral

Thank goodness for people like this

The photoshopped images of the 14-year-old star saying homophobic and offensive things were said to be ironically depicting Brown, who has publicly supported LGBTQ rights for some time.

The actress, who was one of the first recipients of MTV's gender-neutral award past year, is a vocal anti-bullying advocate and LGBT rights supporter who has publicly voiced her support for GLAAD's Together movement as well as Parkland shooting survivors.

User @thelovelesscIub wrote: 'i think y'all aren't getting the point of the millie bobby brown meme?

The meme is thought to have originated as an inside joke from within the LGBTQ community.

Millie Bobby Brown is done putting up with the hate against her.

Millie herself frequently posted on social media, updating on her whereabouts and posting sweet messages with boyfriend YouTuber Jacob Sartorius.

Brown's secondary, anti-bullying Twitter account, @Milliestopshate, is still live, though.

Leslie Jones left Twitter in 2016 as a result of racist Twitter memes and another Star Wars actress, Daisy Ridley, quit Instagram after receiving backlash from an anti-gun post.
