WWE star John Cena replaces Sylvester Stallone in Jackie Chan’s Project X

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that John Cena is slated to star in an action-thriller film alongside Jackie Chan, which is titled "Project X" and scheduled to be released next year. It feels like Cena is one great collaboration from being a bona fide action stud, and maybe Project X is the movie that will take him to that level.

"A Chinese private security contractor who must help get oil workers out of peril when the refinery is attacked in Baghdad".

In case you've been living under a rock, Cena is quickly becoming a hot commodity in entertainment.

The movie will be directed by Scott Waugh, who served as the director for Need to Speed. Cena is replacing Sylvester Stallone, who was originally tapped to star alongside Chan.
