France's Kylian Mbappe leaves training after tackle from Adil Rami

Kylian Mbappe breaks silence on injury scare ahead of World Cup

The 19-year-old was injured in a training ground incident with the severity of his injury now unknown but the forward had to leave the session.

The 19-year-old was pictured laying on the floor holding his left ankle before then being helped up by staff.

There were reports saying Mbappe will have to go back to France to get his injury checked, but the youngster downplayed the concerns. While his team-mates continued to train, he returned to the dressing room to receive treatment.

"I am doing fine, it was just a knock, so nothing serious but thank you for your messages", he wrote via his official Twitter account while urging fans to "lay off my friend Adil Rami as it was not malicious".

Mbappe will be expected to enjoy a productive run in Russian Federation following a season in which he helped Paris Saint-Germain win the Ligue 1 title.

It follows another knock that the former Monaco teenager sustained in France's 1-1 draw with the United States in their final World Cup warm-up friendly earlier this week, having earlier scored the equaliser in Lyon.
