Bellew Calls Out Fury After Seferi Fight

Danny Rose-England

Tyson Fury wants Frank Warren, his promoter, to find a "bigger opponent" for his next fight in Belfast on Aug 18 after a facile victory against the outclassed Sefer Seferi in the former world No1's comeback fight after a 31-month absence. He stopped blown up cruiserweight Sefer Seferi (23-2, 21 KOs), who quit after the fourth round of a fight in which very little happened.

It appears a fight between Tyson Fury and Tony Bellew could be in the works after both boxers opened the door to the all-English clash.

Fury beat American fighter Cunningham back in 2013 via a seventh round knockout, but the Brit was forced to fight back from being knocked down in the second round to win.

When Windsor Park was announced as the venue for what will be his 27th pro contest, Frampton said: "This is the one - a dream come true". He is also aware there will be a higher calibre opponent.

Seferi was seven inches shorter and almost five stones lighter than Fury, who used his reach and height to ensure that there was never any danger of an upset.

It was not always pretty from Fury, but it allowed the 6ft 9in Englishman to shed some of the ring rust before moving on to harder tests.

Former world heavyweight champion Fury was fighting for the first time since he upset Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015.

Joshua and Deontay Wilder, the American who holds the World Boxing Council (WBC) belt, remain distant targets for Fury as they are in talks to face each other.
