More than 1.5 tons of Tyson frozen, breaded chicken recalled

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) released a statement Friday that said the chicken may contain pieces of "blue and clear soft plastic". Products with the lot code 1378NLR02 are affected by the recall.

Tyson Foods Inc. has recalled more than 3,000 pounds of frozen breaded chicken products that were shipped to food service establishments nationwide. Tyson Foods said Monday, March 6, 2017, a strain of bird flu sickened chickens at a poultry breeder that supplies it.
