Will Smith will join Nicky Jam and Kosovo singer Era Istrefi on the official song of the 2018 World Cup, which is set to be released on Friday.

Thousands of fans had already liked Smith's revealing Instagram post after just minutes of putting it up. Unofficial tracks and promotional tie-ins include ones from Coca-Cola, who have had its own anthem for the last two competitions.

The four are believed to have filmed the video for the World Cup track over the weekend.

The World Cup gets underway on June 14 with Russian Federation facing Saudi Arabia at 4pm GMT at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium. Nelson told Vibe that they would be performing it in Russian Federation.

Verify: Did Santa Fe shooting suspect target a love interest?
Even taking the basic fact-checking failure aside, blaming a victim of mass murder for "provoking" her killer is disgusting. It was only "after a four- to five-hour delay" that officials from study overseas program confirmed the devastating news.

While it's nearly certain that an original track will be written for Russian Federation 2018, The Toe Poke wonders if Smith might just appropriate one of his old songs to fit the bill.

Combine that ability with one of music's top DJs and producers in Diplo, and it's very possible there's a redeemable jam in the works.

Smith has been seen dancing around Cartagena, and Nicky Jam tweeted that "the best part is the process". They've been a fixture since 1962 and performers have included Plácido Domingo, who has appeared six times. Past anthems have been done by Shakira ("Waka Waka") and Ricky Martin ("The Cup of Life"), so Smith doing it this year is not a huge leap in the big picture. ESPN designated it the aforementioned "We Are One (Ole Ola)". This year it will be Colors by Jason Derulo and Maluma.
