There's more trouble brewing for Starbucks after a Latino man in La Canada, Calif., claims he discovered a racial slur written on his cup. The alleged incident occurred at the La Cañada, Flintridge, located northeast of Burbank, California.
The barista printed "Beaner" on the cup instead of the man's name.
"That's clearly really racist".
In a statement sent to the broadcaster, Starbucks said the incident was "not indicative of the type of experience we want our customers to have when they walk into our stores". What can I tell you?
Meanwhile, a statement from the corporate office said that the company took the matter seriously and looked to make it right.
The barista believed to be responsible for writing the slur at the La Cañada Flintridge location is said to be in her 20s.
