'Laurel' or 'Yanny'? People can't decide but we may have the answer

People listening to the exact same recording hear totally different things.

That was the question Wednesday as a short audio clip sparked a social media debate about whether the word being heard is "yanny" or "laurel".

"I can't figure out how one would hear yanny". It's all due to Yanny-vs-Laurel Mania.

The viral tweet posted by Feldman was actually taken from a post on Reddit, as she has explained. Just three were caught in between - hearing first one, then the other when played again, or a mix of the two sounds. "If you lose the high frequencies, the illusion goes away".
