Cape Town - South Africa remain unchanged in 72nd spot in the latest Federation Internationale de Football Association world rankings released on Thursday.

Among Africa's World Cup-bound sides‚ Tunisia remain number one on the continent (and 14 in the world)‚ followed by Senegal (28).

Meanwhile, there was no movement also for Super Eagles World Cup opponents of Argentina, Croatia and Iceland as they all retained their last month's positions, 5th, 18th and 22nd respectively.

Gernot Rohr's side was ranked in the same 47th globally and sixth in Africa when the last list was released and they still maintained the same position in the latest ranking.

The first 47 positions remain unchanged from April's ranking, but outside the top 50, a couple of nations have made notable advances.

The next ranking will be published on June 7, just seven days before the opening match in Russian Federation.
