We hold the Iran-backed Houthi militias fully responsible for the emergence and continuation of the Yemeni crisis and the human suffering that has afflicted Yemen.

"Three of these missiles, by now numbering 119, targeted Makkah, Muslims holiest place, proved again to the worldwide community the danger of Iranian behaviour in the region, its violation of the principles of global law and ignorance of the values, ethics and good neighborliness".

Today, in Saudi Arabia, I spoke about this - and about the other regional crises - with the UN Special Envoy Staffan del Mistura and with many of our regional interlocutors: Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the King of Jordan Abdullah II, Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, the Emir of Kuwait Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi, Libyan Prime Minister Fayez Al-Sarraj, the Foreign Ministers of Iraq Ibrahim Al-Jaafari, of Kuwait Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabahand of Morocco Nasser Bourita, the Secretary Generals of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, and of the African Union, Moussa Faki. We call for a decisive United Nations position towards it.

"We renew our strong condemnation of Iran's terrorist acts in the Arab region and reject its blatant interference in the affairs of Arab countries", the King said, adding, "We welcome the statement by the Security Council which strongly condemned the launching of Iranian-made ballistic missiles by the Houthi terrorist militias toward Saudi cities".

We condemn its hostile attempts aimed at destabilizing security and spreading sectarian sedition, considered a threat to Arab national security and a flagrant violation of the principles of worldwide law.

This year's summit was even more important than the usual ones, in such a delicate moment for the war in Syria.
