New Eagle Daryl Worley tased, arrested in South Philly

Recently acquired Philadelphia Eagle Daryl Worley was arrested overnight according to police

Another Eagles off-season addition is in trouble with the law.

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley was reportedly tased and then arrested in Philadelphia early Sunday morning. Per reports, Worley was tasered after he became "combative" with Philadelphia police and was arrested around 6 AM Sunday morning.

Rapoport tweeted that Worley was passed out in his vehicle near Broad and Pattison Streets, blocking a highway. Worley was also reportedly found with a gun.

Worley is a native of Philadelphia who played collegiately at West Virginia. After a rookie season that saw the him pile up 152 tackles, two sacks, three interceptions and 19 pass deflections, the Eagles made Worley one of their first acquisitions this offseason by trading wide receiver Torrey Smith for him.

The 23-year-old Worley is a Philly native who spent the first two seasons of his National Football League career with the Carolina Panthers after they selected him in the third round of the 2016 National Football League draft out of West Virginia. "There's going to be a lot more asked of me both on the field and off the field, but at the same time I have a great support group around me".
