YouTube Goes Dark on Mobile Devices

Google is Finally Adding a Dark Mode to YouTube on iOS and Android

YouTube has announced that it's rolling out Dark Mode to its apps for iOS and Android devices.

YouTube is finally giving its mobile app a dark theme, almost a year after the Google subsidiary introduced the night-friendly mode on desktop. Once installed, users are able to select their profile header and navigate to a new page where they are given the option to pick either the default light theme or switch to the new dark theme. Lo and behold, YouTube for Android and iOS is finally gaining the elusive dark mode, reports The Verge.

The iOS version is apparently rolling out today, with the Android version "coming soon".

The 49ers might also consider offensive line upgrades in the National Football League draft. The deal includes $30 million in fully guaranteed money.

YouTube recently rolled out a Dark Mode to its website, and frankly, it's hot. Offering a dark theme on YouTube also makes sense from an aesthetic perspective because it gives the app a more cinematic feel.

According to Google, a dark mode was one of the most requested features for its mobile apps. Regardless, we'll be letting you know the moment we catch wind of it going live.

Apart from making it easier on the eyes in a dimly-lit setting, a dark mode can help you to better focus on content and potentially save a bit of battery life.
