Sam Bradford headed back to the NFC West

Jan 7 2018 New Orleans LA USA Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart is tackled by New Orleans Saints free safety Vonn Bell and free safety Marcus Williams during the second quarter in the NFC Wild Card playoff football game

With NFL free agency set to open this week, Nathan Peterman is the only quarterback on the Bills' roster. The contract also reportedly includes a one-year option for $20 million.

According to multiple reports Tuesday, Sam Bradford will sign with the Arizona Cardinals.

Arizona has a first-year coach in place in Steve Wilks and needs to fill out the quarterback depth chart.

Bradford's former teammate Case Keenum is expected to sign with the Denver Broncos, while Minnesota is looking to reel in Kirk Cousins. All three deals can become official when the new league year begins Wednesday.

Bradford, the first overall pick in the 2010 draft and one of the highest compensated players in National Football League history, likely is signing a short-term, incentive-laden deal after another knee injury limited him to two games with the Minnesota Vikings last season. His 101.1 quarterback with Minnesota was the best mark of the four teams he has played with.

After throwing for 3,800 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2016, Bradford started off 2017 strong.

Nonetheless, Bradford brought stability to the quarterback position. They have pick No. 15 in the first round.

After sustaining a torn ACL during a Week 7 game against the Carolina Panthers in 2013 while with the Rams, Bradford missed the entire 2014 season after injuring the same ACL during a preseason game against the Cleveland Browns.
